Report on Community Living Camp
Date : 4 June-8 June 2018
Venue : Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram
As a compulsory programme of B.Ed Curriculum, the
teacher trainees were required to participate the community living camp and the
camp titled ‘ORUMA – 2018’. The main theme of the camp was “learning to be
together for excellence.” The objectives of such a camp was to make us learn
to live together co-operatively,
development of personal and social
skills through participation in programs, to develop an interest to train the body and mind for a well- balanced personality.


Camp was a five day program conducted from 4-8 June 2018 at Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram. The beginning of the camp was by hoisting the camp flag. ORUMA -2018 was inaugurated by Sri. Adv. S. Venugopal (Vice President, Kollam Jilla Panchayat).The inauguration was concluded by Smt. Sherly Philip. She thanked all the dignitaries present. It was a wonderful experience and the five day camp was successful. All the programs were conducted with proper planning and every student - teachers got the opportunity to show their talents. On the second day of the camp we visited Gandhibhavan, International private trust On the fourth day of the camp we got the opportunity to visit Parliament house and after that we gone to Kanyakumari. Everyone enjoyed the trip and we understood the relevance of being in a community. Valedictory function on the fifth day was addressed by Sri. Ramachandran Kadannappally (Hon.Minister for ports, museums, archeology and archives). It was a admirable program. Everyone enjoyed the five day community living camp.
